it's all in how you look at it...
My sunshine on a dreary day! :-)

two steps...short
Here's another ongoing project -- the vacuous stairwell. By painting the pretty molding, it is much more interesting. This is an easy enough project to fit in between doing the laundry and making the beds, so I wanted to accomplish it before the troops returned. So down to the basement I went to get the nice new 6 foot lightweight ladder that hubby recently purchased at my demand (there's a whole safety lesson behind this purchase). I set it up at the bottom of the stairs, and, voila!, I am still not tall enough to reach the top 2 pieces.

The hub volunteered his painting expertise when he got home from work. All we need is a second coat and then to cross this item off the list!

weekend project
We are a back door family -- we hardly ever use the front door.
-- we need a place to step inside and take off shoes.
-- we need a place that can be cleaned up easily.
-- he does not like when his area is messy.
-- like many other things in our house.
-- when we are finished "playing" for awhile.
-- for the dog.
Happy Monday!
