and so, the lovely begins...

New background photo 4.14.12.  The cherry tree we planted last year has just started to bloom.  The phlox is in full swing.

View the other way.  The pink crabapple tree looks beautiful this year!

The Korean azalea on the west side of  the house.  This is one of my favorite types of azalea.

And, the dogwood tree.  This is the first year that it has bloomed at the same time as the pink crabapple.  It usually blooms at the end of April.

  1. Your plantings are beautiful... you're a little ahead of us. My crab apple tree is just starting to get puffed out buds and the pears are already blooming. You phlox ground cover is BEAUTIFUL. I have some along my rocks but it isn't blooming yet. It's one of my favorite spring sights ...that and the lilacs. Thanks for all the pretty pictures.
