pretty, quiet...

Last night's rain gave way to a beautiful autumn morning.  The elder trees have not yet joined the color changing splendor...but they will soon.

In the meantime, I have this view from our front porch.  The tree in the foreground is the one that was just planted.  Thanks to whoever picked this one out for us.  I also have a view of this tree when I look out the front bay window.  I am feeling "the lovely".

Sofia is just feeling "the silly"!

Project updates...

The back stairs are almost complete.  Sofia's costume is almost complete.  The painting of Nicholas' room will resume this week.

Please accept our apologies for the delays in the progress of the projects, and, lack of pictures and blogging the past few days.  Rick and I have both been in the grip of a miserable cold, so there has been alot of "behind the scenes" activity such as sneezing and coughing.  Just thought it was better not to share such stuff...
